Model: 71G291SB
GLOBAL designed and made in Japan. The knife is made to appeal to the professional and amateur chef, be comfortable and easy to handle and surpass their most demanding requirements. Global is praised for its perfect balance, light weight, and seamless construction. The knife comprises of CROMOVA 18 stainless steel and is hardened in a process inspired by the crafting of ancient samurai swords. The brand is comprised of 4 series G, GS, GF, and GSF. The only difference among the series is that GF and GSF knifes are heavier in weight because they are fully forged. The lighter weight knives are more characteristically "Japanese", for which Global is best known. The two signature characteristics of a Global knife are: the triple-layered steel blade that maintain their exceptionally sharp edge and the ergonomic and perfectly balanced handle. Global knives boast, prominent edges visible to the naked eye, that extend a quarter inch up from the tip of the blade. These edges are ground to a straight point, resulting in a dramatically sharper blade that keeps its edge longer. The handle is hollow, and sand filled to create a perfect balance which is more precise than using a full tang and bolster. This set comprises of 2 core kitchen pieces: G2 – An 8”/20cm chef knife & G91SB Global water sharpener silver handle. Sharpening: recommended sharpening with the Global ceramic water sharpener or Whetstone. Cleaning instructions: Wash and dry by hand, not dishwasher recommended.
