This base stabilises the mini kettle, as do the non-slip feet. It has a manually operated opening with an 80-degree angle that makes it easy to fill up with water. Once the water has boiled, the mini kettle switches off automatically. It does the same when it has low levels of water or then the body is not properly attached onto the base. Its double wall and inner lining of stainless steel keeps water hotter for longer while the plastic outer wall remains cool to the touch.
